Since its inception, EMES has collaborated with international networks gathering researchers working in related fields or networks from geographic areas other than Europe. By creating common initiatives, opportunities for exchange and events with peer networks, EMES not only enriches the quality and relevance of its research but also ensures that researchers from all over the world are brought into the discussion.

Associazione Italiana per la promozione della Cultura della Cooperazione e del Non Profit (AICCON)

AICCON – Italian Association for the Promotion of the Culture of Co-operation and of Nonprofit Organisations is an association formed in 1997 among University of Bologna, School of Economics, Management and Statistics, Forlì Campus, within the academic course on Social Economy.

Center for Social Economy (CES)

The Centre for Social Economy (CES) is a research and teaching centre within the “Social Enterprises and the Social Economy” Peak of Excellence of HEC-Management School of the University of Liege.

Centre for Co-operative Studies, University College Cork (CCS)

The Center is one of the founding members of EMES and has participated in the PERSE project.

Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE)

CSE carries out education, knowledge sharing and research activities in the area of social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, welfare studies and civil society.

Centre for Social Studies (CES-PT)

The Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra is a scientific institution focused on research and advanced training within the Social Sciences, the Arts and the Humanities, through an inter and transdisciplinary approach. The Ministry of Science granted CES the status of Associated Laboratory in 2002, recognizing its contribution to public policies, advanced training and the dissemination and sharing of knowledge.

Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche Travail, État et Société (CIRTES)

The CIRTES is an interdisciplinary research centre which aims to analyse non-egalitarian social relations in the world of labour, the effects of these relations on society, and public policies or social practices likely to counter these effects.

European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (EURICSE)

Euricse is a research centre designed to promote knowledge development and innovation for the field of cooperatives, social enterprises, commons and nonprofit organizations.

GESES Research Group

The Research Group of Social and Economic Studies of the Third Sector (GESES Research Group) is formed by an interdisciplinary group of professors from the University of Zaragoza, from the departments of Management and Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, and Psychology and Sociology, together with external researchers associated with our lines of research.

Institutions for Collective Action (ICA-RSM)

The ICA research team studies the phenomenon of social enterprise and organisations formed from below by the immediate stakeholders, whose aim is to work together to pursue both material and societal interests.

Korean Association for Social Economy Studies (KASES)

Korean Association for Social Economy Studies(KASES) is an association of researchers and field leaders and activists with a view to cooperating between theories and practices and mutualizing experiences of both sides.

Norwegian centre for social entrepreneurship and social innovation (SESAM)

SESAM is an interdisciplinary knowledge center organized under The Collage University and Southeast-Norway, Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. SESAM is a regionally-based, internationally competitive knowledge and research center.

Sheffield Hallam University (SHU)

Sheffield Hallam University has a long-standing track record of research and teaching on third sector issues. Our strategy to become a leading applied research University that engages globally while leading locally will guide our work in this field as we move forward.

Södertörn University

Social enterprise has been a part of Södertörn University’s repertoire since it’s foundation, which as a matter of fact coincided with the foundation of EMES, and faculty of Södertörn University participated in the European network at a very early stage.

The Institute of Labour Economics and Industrial Sociology (LEST - CNRS)

The Institute of Labour Economics and Industrial Sociology (LEST) is a Mixed Research Unit of the CNRS and of the Aix-Marseille University. The Institute develops research on labour, employment, training programmes and innovation in the social sciences and humanities.
